+ Tosterday's Holiday Traffic. The sweltering heat of yesterday brought hundreds of people from Christchurch, the morning and afternoon trains being well packed. Corsair Bay was the principal attraction, and all day until late in the evening the -water was thronged with bathers. Boy Scouts. The Lyttelton "Wolf Cubs to the number of forty are nt present in camp at Charteris Bay with several troops from Christchurch. Th« total number in camp is 220, p.nd the boys are having a thoroughly enjoyable time. The days are occupied in scout-craft, treks, and bathing, while in the evenings the whole camp is entertained to wireless concerts. Comwell Cup. The seventh trial race for entrants for the Comwell Cup was sailed in a north-east breeze, and resulted in an easy win for 6. Brassell in Gadfly. There were four starters, and they finished in the following order:—Gadfly (G. Brassell) 1, Wee May (F. Forman) 2. Pauline (R. Taylor) 3. Wetu (H. Xorris) 4. With one more trial to be held, the points secured are: Brassell 22, Forman 17, Xorris 16, Taylor Harbour Light Theatre. "The Black Pirate," a United Artists special production in technicolour, starring Douglas Fairbanks, will be repeated at the Harbour Light Theatre to-night, together with a comedy and newsreel. To-morrow afternoon and evening a double-feature programme, consisting of "Ritzy," an Elinor Glyn production featuring Betty Bronson, and "Back to God's Own Country," a drama starring Reneo Adoree, will be screened. The supporting programme includes a comedy and a gazette. There, will be a special holiday change of programme on Monday, when "Let's Get Married," a hilarious comedy-romance featuring Richard Dix, will be shown. There will be a matinee on Monday afternoon.
