METHVEN BURGLARY.

SEQUEL IN POLICE COURT. A sequel to the recent burglary at Methven was heard before the Methven Police Court last evening, when Hastings Ireland and Alexander Thompson were charged with breaking and entering by night the shop of Walter Charles Battson and stealing goods valued at £59 8s 7d. Ireland was further charged with attempting to set fire to the shop of Mr Battson on or about November 11th. Accused were remanded until November 25th, bail being refused. Messrs J. F. Stone and S. Smith were on the Bench.
