PARA RUBBER COMPANY, LTD.
SEIBERLING TYRES: CONVERSE GUM BOOTS: MILKER RUBBERWARE '. GENERAL RUBBER GOODS. Tlie spacious tent, attractively arranged, containing the Para Rubber Company's exhibit, is to be found opposite the produce hall, and is well worth a visit. Rubber goods, from solid and pneumatic tyres down to small rubber toys and balloons, impress upon the visitor the wide range in the uses of rubber, and the varied stocks carried by the Para Rubber Company. Of special interest to motorists is the Seiberling tyre, a product of Canada, and representing the very latest in tyre design and construction. Tho designer is a man with 40,000,000 tyres experience to draw from, and the tyre which bears his name is an improvement on his past efforts. Searching scientific experiments, carrying with them rigid tests, have been used in designing this tyre, while behind all this is the ideal of the manufacturers, which is to build as the Romans built, with infinite care, with unsurpassed skill, with unstinted use of the best materials. The result is that the tyre is not built down to a price but up to an ideal. Illustrative _of the care used to build this ideal into the tyre, mention may be made of the fact that each strand of cord used in the carcase of the tyre has been strengthened from a breaking strain of 13Jll> to 191b; specially designed breaker strips designed to distribute road shocks evenly are used; more rubber has been used in the _ construction, giving a bigger tyre with a greater wearing surface, ensuring many more miles or wear; vulcanising is carried out under tho new water methods, which gives the tyre an even cure and a uniform toughness. Brittleness of the tread, caused by over-vulcanising, is eliminated.
The Seiberling Rubber Company believes in new methods, in keeping abreast of the times, in making always the most modern and most durable product. But it recognises that modern methods must be I)3eked up by oldfashioned generous quantities of materials. No tyre has won in five years the enviable standing of the Seiberling All-Tread. The 40 per cent, average annual increase in sales for the fast five years has taen due to superlative product performance records. This fact alone speaks volumes for the honest workmanship and the high grade of the material in the manufacture.
