GIVES GOOD RESULTS. WHAT THE "WEEKLY PRESS" DEMONSTRATES. The conditions at Riccarton on Saturday were admirable for jfiiotography, and the representatives of the "Weekly Press" were able to obtain a fine set of pictures. As the popular magazine weekly is not published till to-day, plenty of time has been available for the intricate process work and the careful printing required to produce perfect reproductions, and the result is a really artistic display. The pictures do full justice to the actual racing, while the numerous snapshots of spectators are most entertaining and interesting.

In addition to their special appeal this week to those who enjoy racing, the "Weekly Press" illustrations are notable for their variety, many places in the Dominion having contributed topical pictures, while the latest overseas mail has brought an attractive selection of camera studies. The letterpress maintains the same standard as the illustrations. the short stories being bright and vigorous, and the various special articles full of originantv. The first aim of the "Weekly Press" is to give its readers something different from the matter published elsewhere, and they will find evidence of that policy in every page of to-day';; i;sue.
