TO HELP THE BLIND.
SALE OF WORK ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. An opportunity will be given visitors to the Addington Show Grounds tomorrow and Friday to manifest their interest in the Institute for the Blind. Auckland, in a tangible way by purchasing samples of the work doue by the blind at the tent which will be found at the extreme end of the right-hand side of the main roadway from the entrance gates, Lincoln road. The Christcburch Rotary Club has undertaken the job of disposing of the 375 articles sent from Auckland, and the members of the club have set as their objective: A clean sweep of every article. All housewives should make a bee line for the Rotary Club's tent, for they are sure to find much to interest them in it. The articles'consist largely of basketware —clothes baskets, picnicbaskets; in fact, almost every kind ot' basket—and doormats and other articles of wickerware. The salesmen will consist of relays ftf Rotarians, who will have as assistants. it is hoped, Rotarians' wives and daughters, or any ladies sufficiently interested in the blind to volunteer their services.
