SAMOAN ENQUIRY.

MEMBERS OF COMMISSION RETURN. [THE PEES 3 Special Service.] AUCKLAND, November 7. No indication as to when the Commissioh's report would be . completed was given by the members of the Royal Commission, Sir Charles Skerrett, Chief Justice of New Zealand, and Mr 0. E. MacCormick, Judge of the Native Land Court, who, after investigating the affairs in Samoa, returned to Auckland by the Niagara to-day.

It was stated, however, that -considerable work remains to be done.. Whether the report will be completed in time to allow discussion in Parliament before the session ends was uncertain. Possibly the report would be ready for presentation to the Gover-nor-General in two or three weeks' time. It would then be considered by Cabinet and printed. Sir Charles Skerretc left Lhis _ evening for Wellington. He will be joined later in the week by Mr MacCormick, who is spending a few days in Auckland.
