Tennis. The Te Whaku Tennis Club will open its reason at tho courts at Wost Lyttelton on Saturday afternoon. Euchre Party. Tho weekly euchre tournament under the auspices of tlio Lyttelton Miniature Rifle Club will be held in the. Drill Hall to-night. Good prizes aro offered. Golf. The Lyttelton Golf Club will hold its closing day, postponed from Labour Day, at Charteris Bay on Sunday. A nine-hole mixed foursome will be played in the morninrr and competitions, followed by the prizegiving, will take place in the afternoon. Daylight Saving Memorial. Tho Daylight Saving Memorial Fund, in honour of Mr T. K. Sidey, M.P., was opened at the meeting of the Lyttelton Borough Council on Monday night in a practical way. Tho list was passed around, and each councillor willingly paid up his shilling. The list is to be kept open in the Council office for public subscription. Concert. A variety concert is lo be given in the Oddfellows' Hall to-night by the St. John's Social Club girls, assisted by other artists. Tho first part of the programme will tnke the form of a dream fantasy—a grandmother dreaming of the songs of fifty years ago. 'The frocking is especially attractive. Tho second part is composed of instrumental trios, songs, recitations, and dancing "by Lyttelton artists, together with Quaker songs and bright" military choruses by the club girls.
