The Department of Commerce announces that the United States closed the first nine months of the year with a favourable trade balance ot 356,868,000 dollars, compared with 87,013,000 dollars for the corresponding period of 1926. Exports totalled 3,509,407,000 dollars, and imports 3,152,539,000 dollars. September was the largest export month, with 426,000,000 dollars. Gold exports for the nine months period amounted to 57,637,000 dollars, and imports to 102,957,000 dollars. Silver exports totalled 56,849,000 dollars, and imports 41,132,000 dollars.
