STYX SPRING FAIR.

On Saturday the Styx Presbyterian Ladies' Guild held a most successful spring fair in the Presbyterian Mission room. Owing to the threatening weather, the stalls, which were well laid-out, were erected inside the hall. There was a good attendance, and a quick sale- of goods was. experienced. 'The Rev. James Tennent, m opening the ' fair thanked and complimented the Lndies' Guild for the work they had put into the fair and wished them a very successful afternoon. The tea room laid- out in cafe style, occupied the ante-room, and was attended bv Mesdames Naismitb, Cudworth, •Harding, and Munro. The Bible Class girls were in charge of attractive' sweet and bnsy bee stall. -Those in charge of the .various stalls' were: .Needlework,. Mesdames Blain, Johnston, Siindford, and Titheridge;.-fruit salad, Mesdames Barnes, Shaw, and Freeman; produce, Mrs Tennent and Mrs Donaldson; cake and ice cream, Mrs: Harris and Mrs Nanrick; flower stall, Misses Preston and B, Johnston, assisted by the Busy Bees, v -
