FATHER AND SON BANQUET. One of the most-lookcd-forward-to events iu connexion with the boys' work being carried on by the T.M.C.A., the annual "father and son" banquet, was held in the gymnasium at the T.M.C.A. on Saturday .night, when a record gathering of over 350 people was present. The main'object of the function -was to bring father and son into closer relationship, and judging from Saturday night's attendance, the Association is succeeding in its admirable object. Dr. Stanley Foster, president of the RotaryClub in Christchurcb, presided, and following supper a long- list of toasts -was honoured, and items given by,some of tho boys. Mr Donald Grant, M.A., addressed the gathering, dealing with the boys' work arid the objects of tho institution of such gatherings.
