BROADCAST SERMONS.
SYNOD (CONSIDERS SCHEME. The use of wireless for the broadcasting Of church services was considered by yesterday's session of Synod. It was referred to the Standing Committee for report.. / , Rev R Newcombe said the time had arrived for the Church to make fuller use of the missionary possibilities ot broadcasting. '■:'■. They should go as far as setting up a Church broadcasting station m Clynstchurch. An.evening service each Sun-, day could be put on the air and also week-dav addresses. Wireless was here to stav and the Church should use it. Mr C. E. Ferris: I don't like the idea of sermons being broadcast. The Bishop: Wireless is here to stay and we are losing an opportunity' il we do not consider-its possibilities.
