St. CECILIA CHOIR.

Thr second concert of the 1927 season •will be given. on' Thursday, October 20th,. at 8 o'clock, in the Art Gallery, under the direction of Mr Sidney Williamson. An excellent programme has been drawn up.' The" choir is making a new- departure at this concert' by rendering a cantata, "The Sleeping. Beauty" (Henry adapted from Lord Tennyson's poem. It will be augmented with harmonium accompaniment by Miss H. A". Searell'. .The soloists for the cantata include Mesdames A. W. Maegillivray, A. M. West, and Misses Ella Thurlow, Phyllis Coombs, and Anita Graham (members of the choir). This work should prove a most attractive number on'the programme. In addition there Vill be given 'popular miscellaneous part-songs, well chosen, and vocal solo items by Miss A. Graham and Mr J. J. Hall. Lovers of music are assured of an evening of complete enjoyment. The accompanist to the choir is Miss Mabel Eaglesome. Box plans "will open at The Bristol on October 17th.
