FOOTBALLER INJURED.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) PALMERSTON N., September 25. Harry Jacobs, the Horowhenua captain, sustained serious injuries in the final of the Nash Cup at Levin on Saturday. He was removed to Palmerston North Hospital early this morning, and operated on for a ruptured spleen. He fell on the elbow of another player early in the game, but continued to play, although sick. He is reported to be going fairly well.
