Tlio second concert 'of the season of the Koval GhristchurcU Musical Society will be given on Tuesday and Thursday, September 27th and 20th, in the Choral Hall. The procramme prepared should prove a most interesting one to the subscribers and general public, as it comprises items not previously given in N'ew Zealand. Choral fantasia for chorus and orchestra on airs from the. "Beggars' Opera," and :i ballad for chorus and orchestra, "News from Whydah,' tho words of which are by John Masefield. and the music by H. Balfour Gardiner, will be given for the first time in A'ew Zealand, as also will several part-songs. The box plan is open at The Bristol Piano Company,
