ROCKLAND SUPERPHOSPHATE AND SPECIAL MANURES MAKE SPRING CROPS MORE PROFITABLE Successful growth of forage-crops—Rape, Kale and Chou Moellier-results only from manure of the right kinda manure that causes deep and quick rooting to establish crops before the dry summer period. § Rockland Special Manures fill every condition of the ideal manure—they are scientifically prepared to suit Canterbury conditions. 9 Rockland Superphosphate in some localties has given the highest yields in Government tests. On Mr. R. S. Gunn's Farm, Racecourse Hill, Rape manured with 1 cwt. Superphosphate yielded 5.05 tons while the unmanured plot was a complete failure. Further when Rockland Superphosphate was increased to 2 cwts. per acre the yield was increased to nearly 7 tons per acre; ROCKLAND SPECIAL MANURES AND SUPERPHOSPHATE GIVE PROVED-HIGHEST YIELDS OF ROOT CROPS. Potatoes and Mangles which give high yields per acre draw heavily on the fertility of the soil. Test after vest has proved that superphosphate is the best form of phosphate for the highest and most profitable yield of potatoes. In a test carried out by the Department of Agriculture on Mr. L. G. Banks* Farm, Coutts Island, the area of potatoes manured with 3 cwts. high grade Rockland Superphosphate yielded 8.48 tons per acre. The unmanured portion yielded but 5.72 tons. The value of the additional crop secured was £7/17/6. Deducting cost of manure £l/1/- THE PROFIT FROM USE OF 3 CWTS. SUPER WAS £6/16/6 per acre. In the same experiment at Coutts Island the increasing of the quantity of Superphosphate from 3 to 5 cwt per acre RAISED THE PROFIT PER ACRE TO £B/2/6— proof that Superphosphate used at the rate of 5 cwts per acre should be the basis of potato manuring. RQCKLAND SPECIAL POTATO MANURES on certain lands have also given remarkable results. _ _ Rockland Special v Mangel Manure is a well-balanced fertilizer for this gross feeder and contains all the • A constituents, Quickly Available phosphate, nitrogen and ///^ { potash for the maximum yields of healthy crops. /If procurable through Stock ■' /// and Station Agents and Pro* \' THE IDEAL OF HEAVY CROPS CON- [ duce Merchants.
