SUPPOSED CRUELTY TO A DOG.
TO THE EDITOtt OF THE PRESS. Sir, —It makes one feel very sorry indeed for the owner of the poor dog whose, death has caused much hostile comment iii The Press lately. Every one knows a dog can fall from a car and be dragged, the person driving being unawaro of the accident. 1 think the letters referring to cruelty to animals in Christchurch are v 4 ery inane. There are people. with cruel tendencies all the world over, hut 1 ' am positive tlfe majority of us would bo horrified at the thought of wilfully injuring anv animal.—Yours, etc., HUMANITAS.
