POSTMASTER CHARGED.
ALLEGED THEFT OF £3O. (FBZS3 ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) ROTORUA, September 23. At Rotorua this afternoon, the Postmaster of Ngongotaha was arrested by Detective Sweeney, of Hamilton, and charged at the Magistrate's Conrt before Mr W. L. Richards, J.P., that on August 12th, 1927, at Ngongotaha, being in possession of £3O as an officer of the Government Post and Telegraph Department, did steal the said sum.
On the application of the Police, the locused was remanded until October 7th. At accused's request his name was suppressed.
