PARTY AT MOUNT SOMERS.

A party of friends paid a surprise visit- to Mr. C.Monk,, at the residence of - Mr. and Mrs. A. B- Lochhead, Buccleugh Homestead, Mount Somers, on evening, to celebrate Mr Monk's birthday. A pleasant evening passed in games and dancing, interspersed with elocutionary and musical items. During the evening Mr W. T. Goodrich presented the guest with a handsome shaving companion, as a memento of the occasion. Supper -was served in the. spacious dining hall, the tables being decorated with "spring' flowers. Before dispersing, appreciation was - accorded Mrs Lochhead for her kind hospitality. Those present were': Mr and Mrs W. Hydes, Mr and Mrs W. B. Pope, Mrs E. C. Wood, Mr and Mrs H.
