SWIMMING.
CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. The annual report of the Chrietchurch Amateur Swimming Club, which is to be presented at the annual meeting on September 28tli, states the past season had been a most successful one, the members of tho club displaying a gratifying enthusiasm. Tho financial statement showed the club's financial position to be sound, considering a large amount lmd been expended on carrying out improvements to the baths. 'The membership of the club showed, a substantial increase, the increase being particularly large in the junior division. The racing of tho members was good, and the year showed .1 most satisfactory result from that point of view.
