CONCERT AT SUMNER.
The members o£ the Christchurch Amateur Operatic Society gave an enjoyable programme in the Sumner Town Hall lass night in aid of the furnishing fund of the borough dental clinic. There was a large attendance, the building being packed to the doors. Ihe programme, which was exceptionally bright and entertaining, was heartily recQivea During the interval, Mr H. M. Williams, the chairman, on behalf of the Redcliffs and Sumner Schools, thanked the audience for its support, Snd introduced tlio Mayor 01 Sumner, Mr W. H. Nicholson. His Worship stated that he desired to congratulate the people of Sumuer and Redcliffs upon their success in securing the dental clinic. The old comifiittees had paved the way and the present committees had completed the task. _
