r)r H. T. D. Acland is giving an address to the members of the Piierims Association 011 Saturday afternoon at the Art Gallery on "Canterbury in' 1855." The address is compiled from his father's diary, in which are recorded the accounts of many trips of exploration in the province, and one occasion when he collected tlie census for the district.
