FORESTERS' LODGE.

The fortnightly meeting of the Court Star of Canterbury, No. 2309, A.0.K., was held in the Foresters' Hall, Oxford terrace. There was a large attendance. P.O.R. Bro. G. T. Soutliam presided over the meeting. During the evening' the Chief Ranger welcomed to the Court P.C.R. Bro. E. H. T. Woods, who had been seriously ill for some considerable time, but was now able to visit the Court. Bro. Woods, who was 88 years of age, and had been a member of the Foresters' Order for 70 years, received a very hearty welcome from those present, and was recipient of good wishes and congratulations from the Court officers. After the Court business was concluded, a pleasant social function was held in the hall, when members of the Anchor Lodge of the Druids' Order were entertained by the Court Star. The social took the form of a euchre match between the Anchor Lodge and Court Star of Canterbury members, in which the Anchor Lodge was victorious by 56 games to 44.
