FUNERAL IN PARIS.

STRANGE SCENES WITNESSED

There were remarkable scenes at the funeral of Isadore Duncan. Thousands assembled at the Pere la Chaise Cemetery, including well-known persons in literary and artistic circles and tho Latin quarter, but the most striking sight was the long procession of friends of the dancer, men and womenj-in longwhite robes and sandalled feet, behind the bier drawn by four horses and covered with red, blue, white, and yellow flowers.

On reaching the crematorium there was a rush for admission and fighting in the. doorways. Police were called up and closed the doors. Meanwhile a funeral oration was delivered inside. Raymond Duncan. Isadore's brother, long-haired and white robed, then mounted a rostrum and addressed the thousands outside. [lsadore Duncan, tho famous dancer, was killed at Nko through her scarf catching in the wheel of a motor-car she was driving. She played a great part in the revival of classical dancing on the Continent !
