STRAND THEATRE.
■■ "Down the Stretch," the main attraction at the Strand Theatre tliis week, stars Marion Nixon in one of the most daring and thrilling film stories of the Turf yet produced. It tells the life story of a jockey who. against great odds, and after many exciting episodes, wins the hand of the heroine. "Mike," the second attraction on the bill, has Sally. O'Neill in the star role, and she, although a newcomer to the screen, shows that she is f destined to, take rank amongst the foremost actresses of the present time. "Mike" is a comedy, but also has many thrilling situations, which appeal to Buch an extent to the picture audiences.
