MISSING FISHERMEN.
SEARCH NOT ABANDONED. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, September 19. Although search parties comprising the whole of the Island Bay fishing fleet were in the Straits all day testerday, no sign of the two fishermen who have been missing since Thursday could be found Grave fears are now entertained for their safety, but tne search has not yet been abandoned. Enquiries are being made in the Marlborough sounds. „ The men's natnes are 1' rank l-.yree and Ulrick Janson. The launch was 25 feefc long, with a 6ft 6in beam, and was a good sea boat, capable of riding a fairly rough sea. Janson, a Russian, aged 40, is the owner of the launch, which was recently repaired. Tyree is a married man. Tlie police at Blenheim and Picton have been advised to look out. and the police at Wellington are patrolling the coast. No decision has been come to yet by the Marine Department as to whether a boat shall be sent in search.
