OPAWA CLUB. Tho annual meeting of the Opawa Croquet Club was held .in the Bowling Clab pavilion, Mr Frank Steans presiding. The annual report showed a credit 0£.£91 Is 9d, collected bv the Iqdies from subscriptions and entertainments. The croquet courts, it was stated, wcro steadily improving, and it was anticipated they would-be ready for play about October Bth, when a joint opening of the bowling green and croquet courts would be arranged. The" president of the Bowling Club Mr C. E. Gwatkin, then took the chair and called for election of officers. The following were elected President, Mrs C. # E. Gwatkin; captain, Mrs E. G. 'Kawnsley; vice-captain.-Mrs H. Allison; hon. secretary and treasurer. Mrs W. Esson: committee, Mesdames Steans, Archbold, Brydges-Jones, Hillarv Fawke, and Mr .Kawnsley; delegate to Bowline Club, Mr E. G. Kawnsley. Seven bowling members expressed a desiris to become croquet members, and were duly elected. "
