MAGISTERIAL. SATURDAY. (Before Sir E. D. Mosley, S.IT.) REMANDED. Adolphus Curline, aged 33 years, was charged with, on September sth, obtaining two electric irons, valued at £2 10s, from the Christchurch Municipal Electricity Department, by a false pretence, representing that they were for Brown's Highbury Laundry. Curline was remanded until September 22nd. JUVENILE COURT. (Before Mr H. A. Young, S.M., Mr W. SI. West, J.P., and Mrs A. E. Herbert, J.P.) OBSCENE LANGUAGE. Three boys were charged with having used obsceno language in suburban paddock. The prosecuting sergeant stated that the lads were in the habit of playing football in a paddock, the residents in the vicinity of which had complained of tho language made use of. The Court ordered tho three accused to be thrashed, the Child Welfare Officer being instructed to seo that this was carried out. THEFT OP FOWLS. A boy aged 13, whoso second appearance it was in Court, admitted tho theft of some fowls. His period of supervision was extended by 3 2 months, and ho waß ordered to be thrashed. RIDING ON FOOTPATH. For cycling on • footpaths, two hoys wore each fino 2s 6d.
