FARMERS DISSATISFIED.
GOVERNMENT CRITICISED. Dissatisfaction with the methods of the Arbitration Court, the high shipping freights which are in operation for the transport of goods from the South to the North Island, and the difference of 30s per ton in the price of manure in the South Island as compared with the North Island, was expressed at a meeting of supporters of the-Reform Party and farmers representatives of Seafield and surrounding districts, held in the Seafield School last night.. A / general discussion took place dur- , ing which it was stated s that, in his present position, the farmer was unable to pass on the increase in awards made by the Arbitration Court. The following motion was carried: —"That this meeting of Reform supporters wishes to express its dissatisfaction with the legislation of the present Government as it affects the primary producers." It was decided to forward the resolution on to the Government.
