TRAMPING CLUB.
At the annual meeting of tlic Christehurch Tramping "Club, last night, Professor R. Speight presided over a good attendance of members. The annual report stated that _ .1 contract had been let for the erection of the Carrington Memorial Hut, and it was expected the work would bo finished by the end of the year. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Professor R. Speight; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Kennedy, H. Ell, A. E. Flower, S. D. Meares, P. Climie, D. Robson; secretary, Mr C. E. Fenwick; assistant secretary, Mr C. W. Evans; guide, Mr C. J. Thornton; committee. Messrs Tucker, Sayers, Milne, Kay: photographer, Mr M. Byford; hon. auditor, Mr C. Buchanan.
