It was reported to the City Council last night that the Clerk of the Transport Appeal Board had written intimating that his Honour Mr Justice Frazer had appointed Tuesday, September 20th, at 10 a.m. for the hearing of the following appeals under the Motor Omnibus Act, 1926: Appeal on the question of seaside return fares to be charged by the InterCity Bus Co., and also re Sunday cash fares. Appeal by the Inter-City Bus Company regarding fares to be charged on 3rd and 4th sections of Christchurch to North Beach route. Appeal by Inter-City Bus Co., against granting of license to Tramway Board for a Christchurch to North Beach service. Appeal by New Brighton Borough Council against the use of certain roads in New Brighton as part of a motorbus route. Appeal by Messrs Andrews and Arps against refusal of a license to them for a service to Heathcote.
