She is to load here later for Dunedin and Timaru. The auxiliary schooner Aratapu was placed on tho patent slip yesterday for overhaul. The Aratapu, which is now rigged as a fore-and-aft schooner, was formerly a barquentine, and was a frequent visitor to Lyttelton. About 6ix years ago she was cut down to schooner rig and re-named Zita. On changing 1 hands some time ago she was again re-named, resuming her former and bet-ter-known name of Aratapu. In her original rig she Once sailed from Lyttelton-to Waitara "in 50 hours. The John is to load here to-morrow for Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. She should arrive from Wellington to-morrow morhihg. Tho Progress, due to-mOrrow from the north, takes in cargo for Dunedin and Timaru, and sails in the afternoon. She is expected back about Friday to load. The Gale is timed to load here on Friday for Wellington and Wanganui. Tho Holmdale, due to-morrow from Dunedin and Timaru, loads for Wellington and Wanganui. The Waipiata sailed yesterday afternoon for Dutedin. Oamaru, and Timaru. Due back here on Saturday, she will load for Auckland. The Kurow should be here on Thursday from the south. She loads for Auckland, and sails via Wellington. The Totara, due to-morrow from Wellington, loads for New Plymouth, via Wellington. The Manuka is expected at Lyttelton on the 21st from Melbourne, via Bluff and Dun-

Tho Kahika is expected here on Thursday week from Dunedin and Timaru. She loads for Napier and Gisborne, oud sails via Wellington. The Canadian Challenger is due hero tomorrow or on Thursday from Wellington to discharge cargo from East Canadian ports. She is to sail the following day for Timaru and Dunedin. The Taiuui is expected at Lyttelton tomorrow from Port Chalmers to continue discharge of her London cargo. From here she goes to Napier.
