Moonlight Excursion. The John Anderson vi.ll run a moonlight excursion around the harbour to-morrow night, sailing at 7.30. The proceeds are in aid of the ikheol Queen (Miss Te Ao Mauiliera). School children worked energetically in the business portion of the tov.-n on Saturday morning, a good sum being raised for a copper trail in aid of their queen, Miss Te Ao Manihera. A successful function on Saturday night was a dance held in the Club Hall on behalf of the Scottish Queen (Miss Eileen Kemp).

Yesterday a combined fishing excursion was held on behalf of the Sports Queen (Miss Phyllis Ayers). Several launches were lent free, and benzine was given by different firms. Fishermen paid 5s each, and the proceeds were highly satisfactory. The tug-of-war carnival in aid of the Sports Queen was brought to a close on Saturday night, when some very interesting contests were seen. Tho results wero as follows: Fire Brigade i>eat Miniatures. AlMon liinu "Gee Buijgs," Watersiders beat Marist by default, "Gee Bungs" beat Miniatures, Fire Brigade beat Albion and secured the tir?t prize. In the pull-off for second and third prizes, Saxon be.it Watersiders, Albion beat "Gee Bungs,' 1 and Albion beat Saxon. Albion and Saxon secured second and third prizes respectively. Hockey. An interesting hockey match was played at Officers' Point on Saturday afternoon between a team of Old-timers and a team representing the Trinity Hockey Club. The Oldtimers' team was as follows: J. Pitcaithlv, W. Ham ford. C. Bowden, D. Burnip, W. Toy, Geilety, P. Kadeliffe, E. Green (captain v. T>. Bamford, ,T. Mather, and 11. Blackier. Despite lack of training, they proved too good for-Trinity, winning by 4 goals to 5. Goals were scored for the winners by Pitcaithlv, Bowden, Kadeliffe, and Toy. itr A. Graham was referee.
