CHILD'S BODY FOUND.
With the lower part of ita face and throat apparently eaten away, the body of an infant, said to be only a few days old, was discovered about 11.30 yesterday morning lying on the river bank opposite Dallington terrace. The body was xound by Mr C. H. Kennedy, s single man, residing with his parents at 449 Dallington terrace, and it was practically opposite his residence that the man found the child. The body, which appeared to have been carried to the spot in a paper bag, was lying on a heap of laurel leaves with only the face and throat exposed, the trunk being covered with a light cloth. 8 A post-mortem examination : it to be held.
