DEATH FROM PNEUMONIA

AFTER ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. {PBIB3 ASSOCIATION IKLSQUK.) WELLINGTON, August 15. At an inquest to-day on Arthur Longbottom, a grocer, aged 54, of Petone, evidence was given that he had been in ill-health fqr some time and had lieen depressed. On August 2nd lie was found in the bathroom, with his thront cut, and was removed to hospital, where he made good progress until bronchial pneumonia supervened. The verdict was that death occurred from bronchial pneumonia, following wounds in the throat, self-inflicted while mentally depressed.
