GOLF.
CHRISTCHURCH LADIES' CLUB.
The first round of the two-round stroke competition, for trophies presented by Mr H. R. Blair, was played at the Shirley links yesterday. The weather cleared beautifully, and notwithstanding the heavy rain of the previous days the links -were comparatively dry, and playing conditions were very pleasant.
