TEMUKA STOCK SALE. Owing to the inclement weather there was a small attendance at the Temuka sale on Tuesday. A good sale resulted. More fat wethers were yarded than for several sales, and a good clearance was made at late rates. 'Any good pens of ewes, which were scarcer than of late, sold at an advance of about Is 6d per head. Rough, unfinished ewes were a shade easier. Very few store sheep were penned, these selling at late rates. Fat cattle .were a medium yarding, and sold keenly at prices equal to last sale. Tho few store cattle offered met keen competition. Trices were as follows: — Sheep- I —Fat wethers: Twelve at 35s 3d, 17 at 37s 3d, 17 at 38s 9d, 14 at 31s, 11 at 32s 9d, 13 at 36s 3d, 6 at 32s 9d. Fat ewes: Three at 345, 16 at 225, 16 at 22s 2d, 31 at 27s Bd. Store sheep: Nineteen wethers at 275, 44 wether hoggets at 17s. Cattle —Fat cows £5 to £8 12s 6d, fat heifers, extra prime, £l2 10s, light £5 10b to £7 10s, fat steers, light, £8 12s 6d, dairy . cows £3 5s to £5 15s. pigs—Weaners 23s 6d to 265. LAND SALE. H. C. Smith, auctioneer, the City Market, 550 Colombo street, reports having sold by public auction at his rooms on account of Mr J. Kearney, the property situated No. 12 York street, Opawa, comprising a house of 5 rooms, together with over 1-acre, at the price of £385, to a client. CLEARING SALE. H. C.
