OUTBREAK AT AUCKLAND WINTER SHOW. [THE PRESS Special Service.] AUCKLAND, July 27. A fire broke out in the Winter Show on Central Wharf last mght at halfpast ten, but the Auckland Central Fire Brigade. did not allow it to go verv far, and to-day only one of the sheds has been closed to f e P£ b } I€ [ The shed affected is No. 12, the lar thest from the main entrance, and it housed several sideshows and a few exhibits, including gramophones and furniture. After tie alarm was bv a night-watchman, the Brigade was on the scene within three minutes and very soon had the fire under command. Evidently it had been burning for some little time as the place was full of smoke, which rather Bamtiered tho firGincn* . _ The actual amount of damage done was not large, several gramophones of the Monarch gramophone display being burned and some of the exhibits in the stall of the Standardised Furniture Company of New South Wales also suffered.
