Contrary to expectation; there was no full Cabinet meeting day for a discussion on the Geneva negotiations but the subject will be considered separately bv a Cabinet committee, a section of the Imperial Defence Committee, and a full Cabinet meeting to-morrow, > when Mr Bridgeman, and Lord Lecu will be given final instructions tor dealing with the American objections to the compromise between Britain ana Japan, which is now the basis ot dlScussion. , „ „n The "Daily Telegraph" says: Our Ambassador at Washington has been instructed .to protest vigorously against unchecked anti-British propaganda and misrepresentation of Bntisn Statements, which have characterised a considerable section of the American Press since the Geneva Conference has opened." AMERICA ATTACKED. (AUSTEALIAN AN» N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) PARIS, July 25. "Le Journal" says, editorially: "It ia tragic that Britain (stands alone face to face with an America whose braggart Imperialism is no longer content with a fleet rivalling Japan's, but must strive for supremacy over Britain, ihe paradox of the campaign for disarmament lies in the fact that it has dragged to the light of day those ambitions hitherto hidden beneath a mask of hypocritical pacificism.
