CANTERBURY LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Canterbury Land Board was held in the District Lands and Survey Office, Chriatchurch, on Wednesday last. Cases before the Board totalled 138, including 3S transfers (Crown leaseholds and soldiers' farms and house properties), 4 applications for land, 12 applications from discharged soldiers for advances for purchase of stock and implements, and 10 applications from mortgagors of house properties for permission to let their dwellings. The following were approved:—Transfers: Section 5, block XVI., Pareoia, "Rosebrook," 45a Or 28p, Albert Day Stowell to Georgina Goodeve; part Pareora riverbed, blocks 111., IV., VIII., Otago 5.D.,.,30 acres, Donald William Fraser and Alfred Adam McTague to Donald William Fraser; section 8, block 1., Waitaki, "Kapua V,5.," 50 acres, Lily Jane Spensley to John Farrell; section 2, Arthur's Pass township, 32.4 perches, Helen Ivory to Maureen Frensley; section 5, block IX., Selwyn, "Mead," 464 a 3r 3lp, Charlotte Casey to Cecil Henry Hight; section 22, reserve 1126, block X., Waimate, 20 acres, Arthur Denis Shirley to James Foster; section 16. block XV.. Ten»awai, "Albury," 50 acres, Ella Price lo William Toomey; run 243 and 76, Mackenzie County, 21,760 acres, Vivian Lloyd le Cren to Edward Francis Kenny and Robert Anderson. Applications for Land—Sections 1-15, inclusive, Glcnavy township. 3a 3r, year to year, J. Walker: part Kajcahu riverbed, block IX., Geraldine S.D., 11 acres, year to year, A. C. Parish. J. Paton surrendered his license to occupy part of the Hurunui riverbed, 20 acres. J. Blair's license to occupy reserve 2997, Si acres, annual rent £1 7s sd, and sections 83 to 91, 6 acres 3 roods 10 perches, was cancelled.
