NORTH BEACH TRAM.
* REPORT TO BURGESSES' ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of the North Beach and Waimairi Burgesses' Association, a report was received that the Department in Wellington had agreed to hold up the granting of the Order-in-Council permitting the discontinuance of the No. 10 tram till the Tramway Board agreed to state what adequate transport it proposed to substitute. A letter from Mr I D. G. Sullivan, M.P., stated that .the Board had now submitted an amended proposed timetable which appeared to meet the case. The meeting felt that before anything further was done the Board should first obtain its license from the Licensing Board in Christchurch, to see whether the Board would permit buses to run along Kacecourse road.
