——♦ SOME OF ITS OBJECTS. One of the most hopeful of modern movements is Too H. The ground of its hope is the realisation that tho bequest of the war is the discovery of the new motive power in the fusion of human types. Material advance has been seen to accentuate the fierceness of competition in industry and Bqcial relationships;' It is therefore distinctive of this movement' that its cardinal principle is the creation of a common platform of thought and association and work which will release that wholeness of human activity which was commoner in a day of simpler relationships. It is in the work of helping the weaker members of society that the movement finds its objective. But the distinctive feature marking it off from the fully active and beneficent forces already busy in the field is that it consciously devotes its work as a memorial and completion of that generation of youth who fell in serving a great ideal, and to makins a world mch as they would li-v* shaped, if the full tide of their effort could have been carried on, unstayed oy The measured achievement of Toe H is inconsiderable so far, judged by ordinary standards, but in the moving of the human spirit and the large promise for the future which it opens up, it works a charm to which men will increasingly yield themselves up- .
