The protracted negotiations between Japan and Germany for a treaty of commerce and navigation, commenced at Berlin in 1921, are concluded and will be Bigned by Mr Tanaka and Herr Solf within forty-eight hours. This i regarded as a diplomatic triumph for Herr Solf and is also Mr Tanaka's first popular achievement. The treaty is expected to complete the restoration of pre-war trade relations and is welcomed in commercial circles.
