TEA GARDENS UNDER WATER. (bt cable—pbess association—copyright). (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) DELHI, July 17. Tea gardens in the district of Dibrugarh in Assam were inundated to a depth of four feet over an area of ten square miles through the flooding of the Brahmaputra river, which reached the highest level on record. The town of Dibrugarh is in serious danger of being overwhelmed by the collapse of the road, which forms the last remaining barrier against the flood waters. Thousands of cattle have been swept away.
