Miss Betty Nuttall, at the international women's, tennis tournament : between England and France, at Eastbourne, beat Madame Vaussard, 6-3, "with Mrs Godfree beat Madame Mathieu and Mao. Devo 6*2 Q*2i Ml'le. Deve . beat Miss Betty Nuttall, 6-4, 6-2. Miss Nuttall played well, but Mile. Deve placed the ball magnificently.

(AUSTRALIAN AKD H.Z. AJTD BTO CABLE.) LONDON, June 18. An Anglo-American tennis tourney on the Davis Cup lines is being played at ManChester. • ♦ Hunter (U.S.A.) beat Higgs 7-5, 3-6, 9-7, 6-4. Tilden (U.S.A.) beat Greig 6-0, 6-0, 6-2. In the doubles, Tilden and Hunter beat Crole-Rees and Eames 6-4, 6-3, 7-5.
