LONDON'S LATEST THEATRE.
(PROX OOTJ. OWW COBBESJPONDZKT.) LONDON, May 7. London's latest theatre, tho Carlton, in the Haymaijket, will be opened on Wednesday with "Lady Luck," a musical comedy with a bevy of British authors in its present form, though it ia founded on an. American success 'of some few years ago, called "His Little Widows." The widows in question are the six relicts of a rich Mormon, who leaves his fortune of six million dollars to his nephew (Mr Leslie Heneon) on condition that he also marries all the six widows. Also variously concerned in this affair are Mr Laddie Cliff as a business partner of Mr Henson's, Miss Phyllis Monkman as a dressmaker who goes on the stage, Mr Bobby Blythe, Mr Cyril Ritcbard, and Mr John Kirby, well known in several Winter Garden shows This will be Mr Hensen's first London appearance outside the Winter Garden since it was built; Miss Monkman was associated with him in one of his early successes there. "A Night Out." A troupe of the well-known Tiller Girls will also be a feature of the play, which has had a six weeks' preliminary run in the provinces. With three such protagonists—not to mention "other ranks"—it should be a d"cidedly joyous affair. The new theatre itself is another attraction. With a colour scheme of soft, unobtrusive gold, tho general design is of a pleasant, Adam-like simplicity, and the seats (over 1100) really comfortable throughout a-»id with a full view ot the stage.
