WANGANUI, June 13. A protest against the heavy burden of hospital levy borne by country districts in comrr 1 ""' with the towns was made by the Waitotara County Council at a" meeting to-day. The chairmnn said that as a result of a meeting c f the Counties' Executive recentlv a strpng deputation would wait on the Minister for Health, Mr Young The Farmers' Union had also been asked to join. The chairman said the County Councils were n.ctreed that their share *of the up]:"-" of Wanganui Hospital was far too great in comparison with the city. Every '<er hospital in New Zealand was in more or less the same position. It was costing Waitotara County about £1 a head of its population, and the Wanganui County £5 or £6, and for every patient that went into the hospital from the county, the city put in ten.
