At the Springston monthly stock salo on Monday, owing to several counter-attractions, there was a email attendance of farmers. There was a large yarding of sheep, but very few sales were made, due principally to the shortage of feed. The lines which changed hands sold at late rates. The following were the principal sales:—so fat ■limbs 23s 6d to 24b 6d, 24 fat ewes at 13s 9d, 26 two-tooth wethers at 19s 3d, 44 soundmouth ewes at 12s lCd, 42 two-tooth ewes at 16s 6d, 2 English Leicester rams at lgn each, 1 Southdown ram at 6gns, 7 Southdown rams at sgns. There was a good yarding of pigs, which sold a little above current rates. Following were the values:—Weaners up to 10s, stores to 475, porkers up to 535, sow and litter £5.

There was a small yarding of cattle, these comprising principally stores, "which sold at lull market values. Values were Stores £1 to £1 10s, and dairy cows from £2 to £l2.
