SHIPPING NOTES. Tho Pakura is to ba dispatched to-day with cargo for Wellington, Gisborne. and Waikokopu. Tho Kahika, due from Timaru to-morrow morning, loads for Napier and Gisborne. and sails via Wellington. The Opihi should be here to-morrow morning from Dunedin and Timaru. She sails in the evening with cargo for New Plymouth and Westport, via Wellington. The Calm is expected to-day from Timaru, and should get away this afternoon for Wellington and Wanganui. The Moeraki is due at Lyttelton this morning from Melbourne, via Wellington. She is to sail this afternoon on the arrival of tho 4.5 p.m. train from Christchurch, for Melbourne, via Dunedin and Bluff. The Totara discharges cement from Tarakohe here to-day, and then proceeds to load for Nelson. The Gale is now due here to-morrow from the north, and takes in cargo for Dunedin and Timaru. The Breeze should arrive on Friday from the south. She sails the same day for Wellington. Picton, and .Wanganui. The John is an expected arrival at Lyttelton on Friday. She is timed to sail the same day for Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. The Holmdale is expected at the end_ of the week from Timaru to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The steamer City of Kimberley arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning from Wellington. She has cargo from New York for discharge. The Union Company's Waikawa is due at Lyttelton on the "l9th inst. from Bunbury, via Auckland and Wellington. The Shaw. Savill steamer Mahia is to sail to-day for Napier to continue Bomeward loading.

The Waipiata sailed last night for Danedin to complete discharge of her Auckland cargo. She is due back about Friday Saturday, when she will load for Auckland. The Karetu is now to sail to-day for Sydney direct.
