April 4. , Tho Transport Appeal Board's decision as batween the Ta&apuna Tramway and Ferry 00. and Alfred Henry Smith, proprietor of tho Yellow Bu» .SoiTice, cancels Smith's license, and i» effect accepts the alternative proposal of the Tramway and i'erry Co. His Honour j>lr Justioe grazer expressed the opinion that inter borough traffic between Devonport and Takapuna should bo catered for, and authorised tho issuing of a license for a motor bus service between tho Devonport ferry and Belmont, on the border of the two districts. The Board regarded the 'existing tram service as inefficient and pronoiwu that a supplementary bu3 service be established between Bayawatcr and Milford to ■be run in connexion with the tram system. . , The Yellow Bus Co. is authorised to apply for a license for the new service.
