PLEASANT REUNION.
♦ Owing to the presence in Chiiiichtirch oi Messrs E. W. Stringer (Melbourne) ar.d O. S. Bell (Sydnev) the opportunity was taken to have a reunion of tho3e who sang as_bo,3 in the chcir at the opening service oi the Cathedral on Sovemter lat, ISSI. The reunion took- place at the -residence of Mr F. "W. HoVos. Papanui road, and ten ot tne . original choir of twenty, boys were found in Christehurcri,.' including, the two visitors. Thdse present were: Messrs M. Woodward, C.-J-. Btvehe,-W.. Brice, C. Hockley, S. ii. Partridge", H. Macintosh, K. W.'.Stringer, L. k. Stringer-. V. W. .Hobbs. and C. S. Bell. Mosars K. E. Lake urA E. J. Hoboa, old boys of a later date, were alio present. The toast, of the evening was "Tho Absent Boys of the First Choir.'- A very peasant eveninsr. was spent. As some of tho3e present had not met fcr nearly or oune 40 "ears, the evening was spent in reminiscences and the sinjirj of old time scn s s »nu -ytis.
